Iberostar’s Loyalty Program: Horizon

First off I am not affiliated in any way with Iberostar I just truly love their resorts. Let me tell you the simplest thing you can do is join the Iberostar loyalty program called Horizon’s.  It’s free. Do it before you book.  It’s easy to sign up on their website.  We have been enjoying perks since 2020.  There are 4 levels: Sand, Ocean, Sky and Infinity.  Sand is 0-15 nights and it ends with Infinity at over 36 nights spent, which is where we are at and it really didn’t take long to get there.  It did help that we had a 15 night stay in 2021.

Here are a few of the perks we have enjoyed through Horizon’s.  My favorite perk is simply getting a discount when you book through Iberostar.com.  All you have to do is login to your account when you book and click the Horizon’s discount to be applied and you’ll receive a discounted price; I believe the most we’ve received was 35% off.  The way I see it is who doesn’t love a discount?!  Did I mention this program is FREE?  

We have also received gifts in our room for being members.  While in Punta Cana we received a small bottle of Rum among other things. After the discount my other favorite perk especially being at the Infinity level is that we get free access to the wet areas at SPA Sensations.  This means we can use the sauna, steam room, jacuzzies, pool if they have it.  At the Playa Paraiso Complex in the Riviera Maya they have a large spa and there’s even a beautiful salt water pool; the spa at the Iberostar Playa Mita is smaller so there’s a small wet area, but still worth checking out.  There are also discounts at each level for booking massages and other spa treatments. At the highest level you can get 25% off a spa treatment.

Tip: Make sure when you check into the resort that you ask them to note your Horizon’s status on your account. We have had issues where the spa does not see these notes; if this does happen find the customer service representative at the resort, the people at the front desk won’t be able to help you with this.
