- Save: While you aren’t traveling it’s a great time to save for your next trip.
- Research and Planning: Take this opportunity to dream a little, explore your future travel options. Is there somewhere you have always wanted to go, but it’s just been a little out of reach? Take time to figure out how you can make it happen, even if it means a long term plan. Start a Pinterest board, follow others, follow us for inspiration! - Reminisce: This is something I have been doing a lot of lately! Look back at pictures and videos from your previous vacations. What did you enjoy about specific trips? What didn’t you like? Consider both when planning future vacations. Sometimes it’s just nice to just take time and be grateful for where you have been.
- Staycation: Pitch a tent in the backyard! Do you have a friend with a cabin you could use for a weekend or go with them? Spend a night or two in a hotel nearby and explore a new city. There are little ways to satisfy that travel craving.
- Home Organization: Once you have exhausted the other four tips you can always use this time you’re not traveling to finally clean out those closets and get things around the house organized.
It can be hard to sit around waiting for your next trip, but there are ways to keep yourself occupied. Besides the 6 ideas below you can also check out this post for a few more!
