Covid-19 & The Uncertainty of Our Travel Blog Part 2
May 17, 2020
It’s mid-May as I write this and about a month and a half since I wrote “COVID-19 & The Uncertainty of Our Travel Blog” and honestly I had no idea at the time I’d want to write a second part, but the Covid-19 saga continues and will for quite some time. The struggle is real and life and travel still have plenty of uncertainties. As Wisconsin has reopened there are so many questions and so many of us are unsure of how to go about the things we used to do without even thinking. I am fortunate enough to have been working and continue to work from home; I enjoy grocery pickup and I will be taking my time and carefully choosing what I do and where I go.

I am so happy that I chose to continue with our travel blog even as travel halted and things are quickly changing. My husband has had to step back a bit, but he is still very supportive and is still helping when I need it. With things not “normal” I have decided to embrace it instead of ignore it, so although All Inclusive Tips was created to talk about all inclusive vacation related topics I have felt compelled to go outside the box a bit. I feel that during a global pandemic it’s ok to go off topic. We don’t normally do those kinds of vacations this time of year anyway, but we would have most likely been planning or have planned our fall all inclusive trip by now and that did not happen. The truth is we have decided that we will not do a tropical all inclusive resort vacation this fall. It was a hard decision, but with so much uncertainty it took the pressure off of us. At least I can say we did get one all inclusive trip in for 2020, if you want to read about our stay in Punta Cana check out this post. We have to do what is best for us and once we feel good about things we will be booking.
In my first Covid-19 post I had mentioned not keeping up with our Pinterest account. Not too long after that post I decided I needed to put more time into growing it again. It has taken a few weeks, but progress is being made and our stats are going back up. I have created more boards, more pins. I know there are probably still not a lot of people planning their travels yet, but I think there are still people interested in getting ideas and seeing how other blogs are doing things. If you aren’t already following us we would love it if you did.
The blog has continued to be fun for me and it gives me something to do while we aren’t going out and doing the things that would have taken our time otherwise. I always wanted this to be fun and not feel like work in the traditional sense.
During this strange and uncertain time in our history I believe most of us are learning valuable lessons. We might not be traveling quite yet, but we’ll get there. It might take some of us longer than others and if you are able to get out there sooner please share your experiences as so many of us will be curious as to how air travel changes or even resort stays. I hope you are all safe and healthy!
